Bonjour! Welcome to Q Osteo Clinic,
My name is Dr Marie Lombard. I am originally from France and graduated from Osteopathic Medicine studies in Europe. I had the privilege to be taught by some of the World's Leading Classical Osteopaths. During my time studying, I was required to attend 10-12 hour days, 5 days a week of lectures and clinical practice for the entire duration of my degree from Day 1.
I have successfully helped thousands of patients in France, the UK and Far North Queensland, Australia, where I also mentored other Osteopaths before establishing myself in Cairns.
My expertise is in Classical Osteopathy, a highly effective and unique form of Osteopathic Medicine, combined with the latest developments.
In my spare time, I love to explore new places with my partner. I am also an avid fitness enthusiast, and enjoy going to the gym, practicing Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and other physical activities. I am a fan of French cuisine, and love trying new foods as well as indulging in a cheeky almond croissant every now and then.

HOW A COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS INJURY STARTED MARIE'S LOVE OF OSTEOPATHY
Growing up as a competitive gymnast in France, I was devastated when I sustained a debilitating shoulder injury during a competition at the age of 12. Despite trying various treatment modalities and medications to help me recover, I was unable to make any decent progress. It was not until I had an Osteopathic Treatment in France that I was able to get back to the sport I loved.
The success of the treatment amazed me, and instilled in me a desire to help others recover from their health issues, injuries and relieve their pain in the same way. From that moment, I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in Osteopathy.
